Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

• Airport pickup and hotel check-in

• Afternoon city tour:

  • Sukhbaatar Square, Chinggis Khan Monument

  • Natural History Museum

  • Bogd Khan’s Winter Palace Museum

  • Zaisan Hill panoramic view

• Overnight at hotel

Day 2: Khar Zurkh Blue Lake

• Drive to Khar Zurkh Blue Lake – the site where Chinggis Khan married Queen Börte

• Visit a local horsemen’s family and prepare for the trek

• Overnight in tent camp (215 km drive)

Day 3: Horse Trek to Bumbat Mountain

• Start horse trek to Bumbat Mountain (1852 m)

• Approx. 26 km ride (5–6 hours)

• Overnight in tent

Day 4: Bayangol River

• Continue trek to Bayangol GER camp

• Approx. 31 km ride (5–6 hours)

• Overnight in GER

Day 5: Khangal Lake

• Ride through scenic green valleys and rolling hills

• Approx. 15 km ride (3–4 hours)

• Overnight in tent

Day 6: Baldan Bereeven Temple

• Visit historic Baldan Bereeven Temple, associated with battles of Chinggis Khan

• Approx. 18 km ride (3–4 hours)

• Overnight in tent

Day 7: Baruun Jargalan River

• Trek to Baruun Jargalan River, enjoy hiking and wildlife observation

• Approx. 15 km ride (3–4 hours)

• Overnight in tent

Day 8: Salhitiin Tolgoi Mountain

• Ride along the base of majestic mountain ranges

• Approx. 25 km ride (5–6 hours)

• Overnight in tent

Day 9: Dayantiin Undur Mountain

• Ride through forested hills and dramatic granite formations

• Approx. 35 km ride (6–7 hours)

• Overnight in tent

Day 10: Return to Khar Zurkh Blue Lake

• Ride back to the horsemen family

• Leisure time and rest

• Approx. 20 km ride (4–5 hours)

• Overnight in tent

Day 11: Return to Ulaanbaatar

• Drive back to Ulaanbaatar through vast Mongolian steppe

• Afternoon shopping at State Department Store

• Overnight at hotel

Day 12: Departure

• Check out and transfer to airport
