Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. Transfer to your hotel and settle in.
After check-in, enjoy a short city tour, including Sukhbaatar Square, Chinggis Khaan Monument, Gandan Monastery, and Zaisan Hill for a panoramic view of the city.
In the evening, attend a Mongolian traditional folklore concert, followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar – Baga Gazariin Chuluu (250 km)

Drive south to Baga Gazariin Chuluu, a spectacular granite rock formation in Dundgovi province.
This area is rich in ancient tombs, petroglyphs, and ruins of 17th–19th century temples, offering a glimpse into Mongolia’s deep past.
Explore the surreal rocky landscape and enjoy the tranquility of the steppe.

Day 3: Baga Gazariin Chuluu – Dalanzadgad – Yol Valley (390 km)

After breakfast, continue to Dalanzadgad, the center of South Gobi province. Have lunch in a local restaurant, then visit the Gobi Museum of Nature and History, showcasing desert wildlife and dinosaur fossils.
Drive to Yol Valley (Vulture Gorge), located within Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. This deep gorge, surprisingly filled with ice even in summer, contrasts beautifully with the surrounding desert.

Day 4: Yol Valley – Khongor Sand Dunes

Journey to the breathtaking Khongor Sand Dunes, stretching over 100 km and rising up to 300 meters high.
Known as the “Singing Dunes” for the deep hum produced by shifting sands, this is one of Mongolia’s most stunning natural sites.
Enjoy a camel ride across the dunes and witness a mesmerizing sunset over the desert.

Day 5: Khongor Sand Dunes – Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) (150 km)

Drive to Bayanzag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs for their fiery red sandstone formations.
This world-renowned site is where the first dinosaur eggs were discovered in 1922 by paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews.
Explore the area and imagine the ancient creatures that once roamed these plains.

Day 6: Bayanzag – Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) (280 km)

Drive to Tsagaan Suvarga, a dramatic limestone escarpment shaped like a row of white Buddhist stupas.
Formed from an ancient seabed, the cliffs glow in shades of red, orange, and pink at sunrise and sunset.
Walk along the ridge and enjoy sweeping views over the Gobi’s endless horizon.

Day 7: Tsagaan Suvarga – Ulaanbaatar (430 km)

After breakfast, drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, visit local cashmere and souvenir shops for last-minute shopping.
Transfer to hotel or airport for departure.
Overnight: Hotel in Ulaanbaatar or departure depending on flight schedule.
